Background info on the Next Generation Science Standards




This is the "Year of Enlightenment" as we look to examine our science curriculum and begin tweaking to put our students at the center of the NGSS science practices based on the Framework (http://www.nap.edu/openbook.php?record_id=13165&page=41).

Throughout this year, teachers will work within their schools to review the practices, cross-cutting concepts, and core ideas. They have been summarized in this presentation for all teachers to review during PLC meetings over time.
